BEAVER SCOUTS (Mon 6:30pm to 8.30pm): 6 to 8 years of age Beaver Scouts are young people usually aged between six and eight years old.

They belong to the first and youngest Section in the Scouting family. Young people can join Beaver Scouts in the three months leading up to their sixth birthday. They can move to the next Section, Cub Scouts, between eight and eight years six months. They enjoy making friends, playing games, going on visits and helping others. They usually meet together once a week in a Beaver Scout Colony.

Some Beaver Scout Colonies also organise Sleepovers.more

To provide a garden or gardens for recreational, educational or therapeutic use with the objective of improving the condition of lives for residents of Barnoldswick and the surrounding area; to help in this way the well-being of people with needs with reference to health or disability, especially those unable to take charge of standard allotments; to provide opportunities for children and families to gain horticultural experience to the good of society and the environment; to encourage volunteer support for participants in need of assistance at Garden Gate; to offer other volunteer activities to maintain and develop the project for the benefit of the community.more
